Aim: To deliver a programme of vocational skills training in green and sustainable
construction for people who have been long-term unemployed, ex-offenders and other hard to reach groups in Bristol, supporting access to the green economy/labour market for participants and improvement of parks and green spaces in Bristol during Bristol European Green Capital Year 2015 (where improvements and maintenance are outside of existing Parks Maintenance contracts). A partnership between The Restore Trust, Avon Wildlife Trust, Bristol City Council and a leading employer in the construction industry.
1. Programme of Skills Development Workshops for Ex-Offenders, Long-term unemployed and
other hard to reach groups to support employability opportunities and environmental skills and
practices in construction (*Delivered through & managed by the Restore Trust)

To include training in Sustainable Building methods – vocational skills training and experience
leading to accreditation/reference/CV/access to networks
To include the improvement of parks and green spaces physical built environment by vocational
trainees (sites TBC in consultation with Bristol Parks).
Support for progression into employment through partnership with a leading construction
industry employer working in Bristol.
